MATLAB 2008 is a language for technical computing skills that integrates computation, visualization and programming in an easy environmentally friendly environment. It can be used in, mathematics and computation, algorithm development, data acquisition, modeling and simulation.
It can be used for data analysis, and visualization, graphs, for the development of scientific and engineering graphics, including graphical user interface.
Here the variables are usually represented as matrices. It can be used to do any math problems in high school. Matrix manipulation, differentiation, integration, and even lap, reverse patchwork transforms and taylor series can be easily done.
Demos and full documentation of the features used in the program are provided with “Help”. Demos contain source codes and project files. Separate panels for variables and command history are provided.
Matlab focuses mainly on commands, not GUI, although the necessary graphics tools are provided to create simulation models, draw 2D and 3D graphs, etc.
